Man, 33, Killed in Hit-and-run Crash

Loryn Cole, 33, died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident while crossing La Brea Avenue roughly 10 days ago in Hollywood.

The deadly crash occurred around 1:23 a.m. on Sept. 24th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A driver in a “rapid blue” Chevrolet Corvette struck the victim late last month and fled the scene without stopping to help them. The pedestrian sustained major injuries and died on scene. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner later identified the victim as Loryn Cole.

Meanwhile, authorities are now searching for the luxury sports car, possibly a 2020 to 2023 Chevrolet Corvette.

Detectives noted the Corvette is an unusual color of blue that was only used on 2,261 cars manufactured in 2022, according to the National Corvette Museum.

Witnesses may contact detectives at 213-473-0234.
