Napa DUI Collision Leaves Two Female Passengers Injured

A rollover collision left two women injured in Napa on Saturday night.

The accident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. on Highway 128 on July 30th.

A 19-year-old woman from Solano County was driving a Volkswagen CC when she veered off the roadway.

This caused the Volkswagen to overturn, causing serious injuries to one of the passengers, Liselle Puentes, 18.

Puentes was airlifted to Kaiser Vacaville and the other passenger, Jasmine Moncada, 18, suffered undisclosed injuries.

Moncada was taken to the same hospital via ground ambulance.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by driving under the influence.

An active investigation remains underway.

According to NHTSA, more than a quarter (25%) of accident-related deaths are linked to the use of alcohol. With that being said, according to the CDC, there are 30 people that are killed everyday in a car accident as a result of an alcohol-impaired driver. That is equivalent to one death every 50 minutes.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation.

It is also important to remember that in the state of California a person involved in a car accident who has sustained injuries has to file a claim within two years of the accident.
