Hit-and-Run crash After East Hollywood Crash

Authorities are on the hunt for the hit-and-run driver who struck a man in East Hollywood. The incident happened early Saturday, on May 8, at about 5:26 a.m. near North Edgemont Street and Melrose Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

It was reported that the driver was in a black sedan. According to a surveillance video captured from a nearby laundromat provided to KTLA, the driver of the black vehicle fled the scene immediately after hitting the pedestrian. The driver did not get out of the car or even slow down after the person was struck.

The victim appears to be a man in his 30s — further information has not been released.
