54-Year-Old Man Dies in Collision on Kansas Avenue
Two vehicles collided on Friday night in Kings County, resulting in the death of one unidentified man.
According to CHP, the incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on April 1st.
A 54-year-old man was traveling east in a Toyota before he veered into oncoming traffic.
His vehicle then collided with an oncoming Ford.
Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition, four occupants of the Ford suffered minor to moderate injuries.
One person was taken to Adventist Health Hospital for treatment.
CHP are actively investigating the accident.
In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
In the U.S. one’s odds of dying in a car accident is around 1 in 107.
