Motorcyclist Killed in Car Accident is Identified

Kenneth Richards, 42, died and two people were hurt Saturday in a motorcycle accident on the Interstate 605 Freeway in Lakewood.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 24th, just north of South Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was traveling southbound on the freeway when it collided with the other motorist due to unknown circumstances. Furthermore, the car overturned after the collision.

Paramedics responded and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. However, two other people suffered injuries and were taken to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the rider as 42-year-old Kenneth Richards.

The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
