Pedestrian Crash Reported at Oso Parkway
An unidentified juvenile was struck by a pickup truck in Coto De Caza on Thursday morning.
Per CHP, the incident took place just minutes before 7:30 a.m.
A Ford F-150 reportedly hit the kid at Oso Parkway and Coto De Caza Drive for unknown reasons.
The crash occurred near the entrance to a gated community.
Unspecified injuries were sustained but it is unclear if the victim was hospitalized or not.
Investigators are actively working to piece together all of the details of the accident.
There was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
