Fatal Semi-Truck Accident at Etiwanda and Inland Avenue
An SUV and semi-truck collided in Jurupa Valley on Thursday morning, April 7th, leaving one woman dead.
Reports included that the crash occurred at 5:10 a.m. at the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue and Inland Avenue.
62-year-old Margarita Lopez was driving the SUV when she collided with the semi under unclear circumstances.
Upon impact, Lopez became trapped in the car and had to be extricated by first responders.
Paramedics rushed her to Riverside Community Hospital with severe injuries where she sadly died later.
In addition, the big rig driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

It is most often those in passenger cars that are killed in large truck collisions. Semi trucks typically weigh 20-30 times as much as passenger cars which leaves occupants of smaller cars more vulnerable.
