Vigil Held For Joshua Manzanares, Victim of Drunk Driver
6 May 2022: JT Legal Group, representing the family of Joshua Manzanares, will proceed with legal action against the driver of the vehicle who is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. In support of the family, JT Legal Group announces a vigil for the 19-year-old victim.
A vigil will be hosted for Joshua Manzanares on Tuesday May 10, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at Yarborough Park located at 419 N. Poe Street Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.
The horrific accident took place on April 25, 2022, at 10:30 p.m. on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla, CA. The driver of the vehicle was speeding in a Subaru WRX with four additional passengers, one being Joshua Manzanares. The defendant lost control of the vehicle and drove off the roadway through a guardrail. Unfortunately, two of the passengers, including Joshua, lost their lives, while two others sustained critical injuries; the driver sustained only minor injuries.
Due to the driver speeding, his vehicle went through the guardrail and his Subaru overturned and landed on the beach. The severity of the impact also caused three of the passengers to sustain injuries such as a pelvic/hip fracture, lung contusion, and fractured ankle.
Joshua was full of love and light. In his free time, he loved being outdoors and enjoyed riding his bike. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, as they meant the world to him. He had 5 siblings, one of his sisters lived in New Jersey and the other in Utah. He had plans to move to Utah to live with his sister and pursue a family of his own.
Joshua’s family is devastated by the unexpected passing of their son and have started a GoFundMe Fundraiser to cover funeral costs for Joshua’s parents.
