3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Sonora

Joshua Engle, 23, of Modesto, was seriously injured in a 3-vehicle crash on Highway 108 in Sonora.

The young man was among three people hurt in the collision at around 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26th, according to MyMotherLode.

The drivers of a Ford Explorer, a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Ford Expedition were involved in the collision, roughly half a mile west of Hess Avenue in Sonora, the report said. However, it’s unknown what led up to the accident at this time.

Paramedics responded and located Joshua Engle, who was driving the Explorer, suffering from major injuries. They requested a medical helicopter to airlift the young man to a hospital in Modesto. Meanwhile, Michael Kindberg, 61, of Hilmar, who was driving the F-150 pickup truck, sustained minor to moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Adventist Health Sonora.

The third driver in the Expedition, Sherri Lee, 70, of Sonora, survived with minor pain, but was not taken to a hospital.

Police closed down the highway between lower Mono Way and Peaceful Oak Road to conduct an investigation and clean up debris from the crash.
