2 Adults Killed, Toddler Critically Injured
Jonathan Genavia, 35, Oxnard, died in a motorcycle accident late Saturday afternoon on Pacific Coast Highway near Deer Creek Road in Ventura County.
The collision occurred about 5:30 p.m. on June 17th , according to Ventura County Star.
The motorcyclist was riding a Harley-Davidson going southbound on PCH. Suddenly, a man in a Toyota Corolla who was stopped in the right shoulder, pulled out into the path of Jonathan Genavia. The two vehicles collided and the rider was thrown onto the roadway.
Paramedics responded to the crash and took the injured motorcyclist to a helicopter landing area close to PCH. They transported the injured motorcyclist by air to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, Jonathan Genavia passed away before the helicopter left the ground.
The 74-year-old Oxnard man driving the Toyota stopped and he is cooperating with the investigation.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are still working on the case.
