Fatal Collision on State Route 94 in Jamul
48-year-old Jennifer Kathelen Nichols, the wife of Kirk Nichols, was killed in a crash in Jamul on Saturday evening.
The tragic accident took place on February 5th around 6:20 p.m. on State Route 94.
According to CHP, a Mazda B300 pickup truck was towing a boat when the trailer became detached for unknown reasons.
As a result, it collided with Nichol’s vehicle, a Fiat 500.
Kirk Nichols suffered unspecified injuries and Jennifer was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Sadly, Jennifer was pronounced dead Saturday evening due to her injuries.
CHP is actively investigating the crash.
