Jared Dyer ID’d as Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car on Highway 38 near Julian Drive in Mentone
Authorities have disclosed the identity of a pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Mentone last week Friday, September 8.
At around 8:22 p.m. the California Highway Patrol Dispatch received reports of a traffic collision on Highway 38 near Julian Drive.
The circumstances surrounding the auto-pedestrian accident were not immediately established.
The victim, who has since been identified as 34-year-old Jared Michael Dyer, a resident of Mentone, was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
