Driver Turns Left into Path of Motorcyclist in Fatal Crash

Izaiah Rysz Fitzhugh, 21, of Fair Oaks, died Saturday in a motorcycle accident at Madison Avenue and Blue Oak Drive in Orangevale.

The 21-year-old man died in the collision with a GMC Yukon around 11:18 a.m. on August 26th.

The report by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcyclist.

The young man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Madison Avenue heading toward the intersection with Blue Oak Drive.

Meanwhile, the woman driving the SUV with two minor passengers aboard made a left-hand turn into the path of the motorcyclist.

The two vehicles collided and Izaiah Rysz Fitzhugh was ejected from his bike. He suffered major injuries and died at the scene.

There were no other injuries reported at the time of the crash.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash. They will weight whether the GMC’s turn into the path of the rider or the motorcyclist’s speed caused the crash
