2 Killed, 3 Injured in Lancaster Car Accident
Hugo Amparo Ramirez, 22, was identified as one of two drivers who died Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash in Lancaster at 60th Street East and Avenue E.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the man on its website, but they have not released the second driver’s name at this time.
Meanwhile, two of the three passengers from the two vehicles suffered major injuries, according to MyNewsLA.
2-Vehicle Collision at Lancaster Intersection
The traffic accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on August 13th at the Lancaster intersection, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The drivers of a Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Silverado collided after one of them veered into the path of the other one. The two drivers suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to fire officials. Hugo Amparo Ramirez, 22, was later identified as one of the drivers who died in the crash.
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed three people with injuries to Antelope Valley Hospital, according to KTLA 5 News.
Authorities are piecing together what happened and will determine the cause of the Lancaster crash on 60th Street.
Finally, the sheriff department’s Lancaster station is heading up the investigation.
