Pedestrian Left Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash
CHP are searching for the suspect who hit a pedestrian and fled the scene in Antelope on Monday night.
The incident occurred on December 13th on Elverta Road around 6:30 p.m.
Firefighters responded to the scene to find the victim injured in an unspecified condition.
The involved motorist did not stop to provide aid or cooperate with authorities.
Authorities also shut down a stretch of Elverta Road following the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
According to statistics, 20% of pedestrian fatalities include fleeing drivers. In addition, 68% of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians and bicyclists.
