On early Saturday morning, a busy South Bay freeway interchange reopened after crews worked more than seven hours to remove an overturned propane tanker.
California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee said the big rig that was carrying propane gas overturned on the ramp from northbound Interstate 280 to northbound Interstate 880 about 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
CHP closed northbound I-280 at Meridian Avenue, southbound I-280 at Winchester Boulevard, southbound I-880 at Bascom Avenue and northbound Highway 17 at Hamilton Avenue due to spurred concerns about a possible propane leak.
