Police Arrest Suspect in Hit-and-Run Crash

 Bryan Lee Stetson, 51, of Bakersfield, was arrested Thursday on hit-and-run charges roughly two weeks after a fatal motorcycle crash on Petrol Road and Airport Drive.

Glenn Patterson, 62, of Bakersfield, suffered major injuries in the May 28th collision. He died a few days later on June 1st, according to KGET.

The California Highway Patrol reported they arrested Bryan Lee Stetson on June 15th.

Authorities stated the suspect was driving a red Jeep Liberty on Airport Drive and failed to stop at the intersection with Petrol Road. Meanwhile, Glenn Patterson was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Petrol Road and crashed into the Jeep as it entered the intersection. The motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was transported to Kern Medical where he died a few days later.

More than two weeks later, police arrested Stetson and charged him with felony hit-and-run involving serious injury or death as well as felony vehicular manslaughter, the CHP said.

The case remains under investigation.
