Elderly Man Hurt in Crash at Cedar and Sierra Avenues
Two vehicles collided head-on in Fresno on Monday, resulting in serious injuries on April 4th.
The accident took place just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar and Serra Avenue.
It is unclear at this time what caused the collision.
As a result, a man in his 80s sustained major injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
Additionally, the other driver suffered unspecified injuries and was treated at the scene.
Neither drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
Investigators are actively working to determine fault.
Head-on collisions are without a doubt the most dangerous types of crashes. They may only account for 2% of accidents, however they make up 10% of all deadly crashes.
