Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Fontana Intersection

Fermin Contreras, 49, of Fontana, died in a motorcycle accident Saturday night at Valencia Avenue and Wheeler Street in Fontana.

The collision occurred around 6:31 p.m. on Saturday, June 17th, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

The Fontana Police Department responded to the intersection after someone reported it to 911 operators.

Paramedics also arrived at the scene and transported the 49-year-old Fermin Contreras to a local hospital where he later died at 8:03 p.m., the report said. It’s unknown at this time if the collision involved any other vehicles or if it was a solo crash.

The Fontana Police Department is heading up the investigation.
