Fatal Pedestrian Accident Reported in Lakeside, CA

A fatal pedestrian accident took place in the area of State Route 67 near San Vicente Avenue in Lakeside.

According to the news reports, a vehicle struck an individual on Highway 67 on Sunday morning. Due to the force of the impact, the victim was ejected onto the southbound side of the highway near San Vicente Avenue.

Emergency crew arrived at the crash site at about 2:30 a.m. Medical personnel reportedly performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
