1 Injured in Collision on Highway 86 near Black Diamond Road in El Centro

At least one person was injured in a car crash that happened in El Centro on Sunday evening.

The collision was reported at around 6:05 p.m. on Highway 86 near Black Diamond Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.

At least one person was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
