Woman Killed in Car Accident is Identified
Eileen Ordoniez, 31, of Modesto, died Sunday afternoon in a crash at Fulkerth Road and Faith Home Road in the Turlock area, just south of Modesto.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection controlled by stop signs in all four directions at around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A 17-year-old Modesto boy and his 31-year-old female passenger were heading eastbound in a red 2013 Buick sedan on Fulkerth Road, KCRA reports. The teen driver allegedly drove through a stop sign and collided with a northbound 2004 GMC pickup truck hauling a cattle or horse trailer, the report said.
The 49-year-old man driving the pickup truck was attempting a left-hand turn to go west on Fulkerth Road when the car crashed into it, according to a report by CBS News.
A 31-year-old Modesto woman riding as a passenger in the red car sustained major injuries and died following the crash. Authorities say she was not wearing her seatbelt. She was later identified as Eileen Ordoniez.
Meanwhile, investigators determined the 17-year-old driver of the red Ford was driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter and driving on a suspended license.
The fatal crash on Fulkerth Road remains under investigation.
