Man Killed in Lake County Crash, James Nielsen Arrested 

43-year-old James Torrey Jr. fell victim to a DUI collision in Lake County on Wednesday, July 20th. 

Reports included that the crash occurred just before 1 a.m. on Highway 53. 

James Nielsen, 27, was impaired at the time he was driving a Toyota Tacoma. 

His vehicle collided with Torrey’s, resulting in Torrey’s death unfortunately. 

Details regarding how the accident happened remains unknown at this time. 

Nielsen also sustained minor injuries and was arrested on DUI and suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. He was booked into the Lake County Jail and released later in the day. 

The crash remains under investigation.
