Visalia Wrong-Way DUI Collision Results in Death
An impaired driver was traveling the wrong-way which resulted in a deadly crash in Visalia on Sunday.
According to CHP, the wreck occurred on April 17th on Highway 99.
Steffan Coulson, 36, was driving south in a Nissan on Highway 99 when the wrong-way driver slammed into his vehicle.
The fatal accident occurred around 4:15 a.m.
Coulson was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver also suffered major injuries and was taken to Kaweah Health Medical Center.
Authorities arrested the other driver on DUI charges.
Police also shut down the lanes of Highway 99 for two hours following the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
