UPDATED: Owner of Victory EBikes Dies in Hospital
Don Feuer was critically injured Sunday, April 16th when he was hit by a car while riding a scooter on Newport Boulevard, just north of 32nd Street. He died roughly two months later on June 16th.
The owner of Victory EBikes on the Newport Beach Peninsula was roughly a block from his store when a driver hit him around 3:55 p.m. in Newport Beach, according to his store’s Facebook page and the Los Angeles Times.
The Newport Beach Police Department reported police responded to the scene and located the injured scooter rider and a second motorist.

The Newport Beach Fire Department responded and transported the injured man to a local hospital for treatment of significant injuries. Don Feuer remained hospitalized with a neck injury, according to a GoFundMe page.
“Don has suffered serious injury to his neck, with a broken C1 & C2 vertebrae,” said Marc Johnson, who created the fundraiser to help his friend. “The spinal cord was damaged and we are uncertain of his ability to recover.”
Police say that following the collision the driver and passenger from the vehicle that hit the scooter stopped and cooperated with the police investigation.
On June 16th, Don Feuer died at the hospital and his family has created a memorial page to honor his life.
