28-Year-Old Man Killed in Traffic Collision 

The man who was killed in a car crash on August 14th has been ID’d as Derek Traeger, 28.

Traeger was involved in a collision that took place in Torrance within the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway. 

It is unclear at this time what caused the crash and how many vehicles were involved. 

Sadly, the 28-year-old lifeguard died due to blunt force trauma. 

Investigators are still working to piece together all of the details of the accident.
