DUI Crash Results in Minor Injuries at Impola and Marshall Avenues

28-year-old Daniela Chavez was arrested following a DUI accident that occurred on Friday night in Napa.

California Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place at 10:35 p.m. on February 25th.

Chavez was traveling eastbound in an Audi A5 on Imola Avenue before colliding head-on with a westbound Dodge Challenger.

Upon impact, the Challenger then hit a parked car on the north shoulder.

The 41-year-old male driver of the Dodge as well as Chavez sustained minor injuries.

Both were taken to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.

It was also discovered that Chavez was impaired at the time of the accident and she was booked into the Napa County jail on DUI charges.

According to NHTSA, more than a quarter (25%) of accident-related deaths are linked to the use of alcohol. With that being said, according to the CDC, there are 30 people that are killed everyday in a car accident as a result of an alcohol-impaired driver. That is equivalent to one death every 50 minutes.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may also be entitled to wrongful death benefits.
