Burbank Musician Roy Wiegand Killed in Bicycle Accident on San Miguel Canyon Road near Salinas.

Roy Wiegand, a professional trumpeter from Burbank, tragically lost his life on Saturday when a pickup truck struck his bicycle on San Miguel Canyon Road. The accident occurred while both were traveling eastbound on July 29th, as reported by KION-TV.

Roy was participating in a month-long charity ride and had almost completed his 2,500-mile journey when the collision happened. Known for his passion for supporting various causes through long-distance running and cycling, he was returning home at the time of the incident, as mentioned by Fox 11 Los Angeles.

The collision resulted in severe injuries, and Roy Wiegand was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have ruled out alcohol and drugs as contributing factors and are continuing the investigation into the incident.
