Woman Hit & Killed by Vehicle on Highway 184 

The woman who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Lamont has been identified as Corina Aguilar. 

The 49-year-old woman was struck on June 20th on Highway 184. 

It was around 10 p.m. when a southbound vehicle hit her outside of a crosswalk near Hickory Lane. 

Aguilar sustained severe injuries and sadly died despite life-saving efforts. 

The involved driver, Enrique Torres, stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities. 

An active investigation remains underway.

Tips for after accident procedures:

• Always stop at the scene 
• Call 911 if there are any injuries 
• Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
• Exchange information with others involved and document everything 
• Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
