Hit-and-Run Accident Leaves Man Hurt 

Two vehicles collided in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 5th, resulting in critical injuries. 

A U-Haul and Toyota Yaris collided at the intersection of Osborne Street and Beachy Avenue in Arleta.

The U-Haul was reported stolen and traveling west when the driver ran a red light and crashed into Christian De Oro’s Yaris. 

Both the suspect and the passenger of the U-Haul fled the scene and remain at large.

De Oro had to be extricated from his vehicle and was rushed to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. 

He has had to undergo multiple surgeries and suffered fractures to his pelvis, knee, ribs and hips. 

The crash remains under investigation.

Hit-and-run collisions account for almost 6 deaths per day and there is at least one per minute in the U.S.
