Woman Killed in West Hills Accident

A head-on crash took the life of 76-year-old Carol Singer in West Hills Saturday morning.

Reports included that the accident took place at 6:15 a.m. on March 12th.

Nohemi Harrison, 57, was driving a Porsche when she veered into oncoming traffic.

As a result, the Porsche hit a 2003 Nissan head-on which was driven by Singer.

Paramedics rushed Singer to Northridge Hospital where she sadly died.

Harrison was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hospitalized with minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash.

According to NHTSA, more than a quarter (25%) of accident-related deaths are linked to the use of alcohol. With that being said, according to the CDC, there are 30 people that are killed everyday in a car accident as a result of an alcohol-impaired driver. That is equivalent to one death every 50 minutes.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may also be entitled to wrongful death benefits.
