Wrong Way Crash Leads to Death
Timothy Yang, 58-year-old from South Abington Township (PA), lost his life along with injuries to fellow passengers after a 75-year-old Utah woman, identified as Nanette Marlow of Draper, drove the wrong way on Interstate 80 for approximately 20 miles. This accident resulted in a partial shutdown of the interstate for several hours near the Nevada-Utah line.
The patrol says it started a lookout for the vehicle driven by Nanette, a maroon Nissan Marlow, at 2:30pm Monday. The crash was reported approximately an hour later in West Wendover. Lt. Tamrah Jackson said it has been indicated by a preliminary investigation that a westbound black Toyota sedan was struck by the Nissan.
