Male Motorcyclist ID’d in Fatal Bellflower Accident 

A fatal hit-and-run motorcycle accident took place in Bellflower Saturday night. 

32-year-old Brett Mitchell was riding his motorcycle northbound just before 9 p.m. before he was hit by a southbound SUV.

The accident occurred on Woodruff Avenue at Alondra Boulevard. 

Reports included that the driver of the SUV drifted into opposing traffic, causing the collision. 

It was also reported that the SUV driver continued driving without providing aid to the motorcyclist. 

Unfortunately, Mitchell sustained severe injuries and died at the scene. 

Witnesses are urged to contact the Lakewood sheriff’s station at 562-63-3500.
