Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Highway 101

Brady Eugene Props, 44, of Oceano, died in a pedestrian accident Friday on Highway 101, just south of Cat Canyon Road north of Los Alamos.

The traffic accident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Sept. 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in a 2016 BMW struck Brady Eugene Props as he was reportedly walking in the left-hand lane of Highway 101, according to Noozhawk.

CHP officers and Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the crash scene in the northbound lanes of Highway 101.

The pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene, police said.

The driver of the BMW was Amanda Hernandez, 32, of Los Angeles. She and her passengers, Edwin Hernandez, 32, and Sophia Hernandez, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Investigators are working on the case from Santa Maria-based CHP officers.
