Fatal Bicycle Crash Reported at East Jensen and South De Wolf Avenue 

CHP reported a fatal bicycle accident in Fresno on Monday, July 11th. 

The incident occurred at 3:44 a.m. at the intersection of East Jensen and South De Wolf Avenue. 

A Chrysler 300 struck the raider under unclear circumstances within the eastbound lanes. 

Unfortunately, the rider went down in the road and died at the scene. 

The involved driver stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

Similar to motorcyclists, bicyclists are just as vulnerable on the roads. According to the NHTSA, 30% of bicycle accident injuries occur when hit by a vehicle. In addition, these injuries are often the result of the driver not paying attention.
