Eugenio R. Arayata Dies in Hesperia Bicycle Accident

A bicyclist who was hit by a vehicle in Hesperia on Thursday evening has died.

According to the San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Department, Eugenio R. Arayata, 67, was hit by a vehicle at 5:30 p.m., on October 12, 2023, at Cedar Street and Longview Avenue.

Reportedly, Eugenio was riding his bicycle near the shoulder of the roadway when a wesbound silver Lexus struck him. He was thrown several feet away from his bicycle.
