Motorcycle Collision on 80 Freeway
A collision involving a motorcyclist and truck left the rider hospitalized on Sunday evening in Berkeley.
The crash took place on January 2nd at 6:11 p.m. within the westbound lanes of the 80 Freeway.
According to CHP, multiple witnesses attempted to help the rider get out of traffic lanes following the crash.
The unidentified rider was transported to the hospital with back pain.
In addition, authorities blocked the Nos. 1, 2 & 3 lanes for a period of time.
No information has been provided regarding the truck driver; an active investigation is underway.
