Arleta Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident Kills 29-Year-Old

29-year-old man died Wednesday night in an Arleta hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Terra Bella Street, just west of Canterbury Avenue.

Now police are searching for the suspect in a Mercedes-Benz S Class sedan who fled the scene without topping to help the young man.

The victim was crossing Terra Bella Street when an oncoming westbound car allegedly traveling at high speed struck him. The man suffered major injuries and died at the scene of the Arleta crash.

The incident occurred about 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8th on Terra Bella Street just west of Canterbury Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Meanwhile, authorities did not release the victim’s name, pending notification of his relatives.

Additionally, there is a standing reward of up to $50,000 offered by the city of Los Angeles for information leading to solving a fatal hit-and-run crash.
