Woman, 23, Killed in Crash on I-15 Freeway
Ariel Bridgeman, 23, of Murrieta, died after being hit by a vehicle Friday morning on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of the Temecula Border Patrol Station.
The collision happened at around 4:45 a.m. on March 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Murrieta woman reportedly crashed her 2021 Honda Accord on the right shoulder, but her vehicle spun around and wound up in traffic lanes. She exited her vehicle and was hit by a 38-year-old Oceanside man driving a 2017 Honda Civic.
CHP officials reported other vehicles came upon the crash scene and spun out. Also, one vehicle overturned and a white van landed on the center divider guardrail and fell into the southbound lanes of the freeway.
CAL Fire Riverside responded to help those injured, but Ariel Bridgeman died following the crash.
Police issued a SigAlert for both sides of the 15 Freeway as multiple lanes were blocked by vehicles.
Tow trucks removed a gray Toyota Matrix and the white van due to damage and they will be held for evidence, the report said.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Temecula car accident on the 15 Freeway.
