Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Truck

Andres Osegueda, 23, of Aliso Viejo, died in a motorcycle accident at Bake Parkway and Irvine Center Drive in Irvine.

The fatal crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29th, according to the Irvine Police Department.

The young man was riding a Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a GMC Canyon crew cab pickup truck due to unknown circumstances, KTLA News 5 reports.

The motorcycle rider suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital where he later died. The Orange County Sheriff Coroner identified him as Andres Osegueda.

The truck driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash, but early indications are that alcohol and or drugs were not factors.
