Man ID’d in Fatal Hughson Traffic Collision 

21-year-old Andres Jimenez was killed in a multi-vehicle crash last Thursday in Hughson, California. 

Per reports, the wreck took place on September 8th around 3:30 p.m. 

Jimenez was driving east on Whitmore Avenue when he drifted into the westbound lanes. 

As a result, his vehicle collided with a Ford SUV, driven by Avelino Araiza, 47, of La Grange. 

Upon impact, Jimenez’s vehicle spun out of control and crashed with a Toyota sedan driven by Monica Acevedo, 47, of Hughson. 

Sadly, Jimenez died at the scene of the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. 

No injuries were reported from the SUV driver and Acevedo was hospitalized with major injuries. 

CHP is actively investigating the accident.
