Andrea Fanning ID’d as Woman Killed in McFarland Crash on Highway 99
The woman who was killed in a traffic collision on September 10 in McFarland has been identified as Andrea Marie Fanning, 23, of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
The accident took place on Highway 99, just south of Sherwood Avenue.
According to California Highway Patrol, Fanning’s 2014 Chevrolet was stopped in the No. 2 lane with the lights off when she was rear-ended by a 2019 GMC driven by a 43-year-old woman.
Fanning died following the collision.
Both vehicles were pushed off the side of the roadway following he impact of the accident.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
