Man, 28, Identified as Victim of Crash in Gramercy Park Area

Alfred Joseph Marvray IV, 28, of Los Angeles, died Monday night in a crash at South Western Avenue and West Century Boulevard in the Gramercy Park area of Los Angeles.

Another driver reportedly drove through a red light and crashed into his vehicle at around 11:50 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12th, according to KTLA 5 News. Surveillance video recorded the collision in the middle of the intersection.

Destiney Baker, 26, of Hawthorne, was driving a gray Tesla Model 3 when she allegedly ran through a red light while heading south on Western Avenue. She crashed into an eastbound a silver Chevrolet Malibu driven by Alfred Marvray IV as he traveled along Century Boulevard, the report said.

The Tesla reportedly hit the driver’s side of the Malibu, causing major injuries to the victim who died at the scene.

Meanwhile, police conducted a sobriety test on the Tesla’s driver and she was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.

Also, two people from the Tesla were taken to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The case remains under investigation.
