Woman Struck, Killed in Pacific Coast Highway Crash ID’d
Alecia McCullough, 43, has been identified as the woman who was struck and killed Sunday at PCH and Cherry Avenue in Long Beach.
The deadly crash occurred at around 8:10 p.m. on Jan. 7th, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office.
Long Beach police officers and firefighters responded to Pacific Coast Highway and Cherry Avenue and located the woman in the roadway where she died on scene, MyNewsLA reports.
The Long Beach Police Department spoke to the involved driver about what happened. The driver told them they were heading westbound on Pacific Coast Highway when the vehicle struck Alecia McCullough who was outside of a crosswalk, just west of Cherry Avenue.
Meanwhile, the driver stopped and someone called 911 for help. The motorist cooperated with the investigation and authorities do not suspect alcohol, drugs or distracted driving were contributing factors.
