Fatal San Diego Car Crash on Market Street

Investigators are currently looking into a recent, fatal San Diego car crash that took place on Sunday, March 5 around 1 PM in the Chollas View neighborhood. California Highway Patrol further stated that the incident took place on Market Street near 47th Street.

Understanding the Fatal San Diego Car Crash

According to the San Diego Police Department, a 1993 Nissan Maxima travelling westbound suddenly veered into opposing traffic lanes. Upon veering into opposite traffic, the driver collided head-on with a 2018 Lexus RX350 SUV. One of the passengers in the Lexus was transported to the hospital for treatment. The Nissan motorist, a 63-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later passed away. Additional information was not released. An investigation is currently in place.
