Tustin Car Accident on Highway 55 and 5 Freeway Injures 1

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle accident that resulted in minor injuries early Monday morning in Tustin.

The accident happened around 4:53 a.m. on southbound Highway 55, just north of the 5 Freeway.

Police said two vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.

Fire officials and medics attended to at least one person injured in the accident. The police did not provide the total number of patients.

A SigAlert was issued, closing lane 4 for approximately 30 minutes following the accident. The SigAlert was cancelled, and the roadway cleared at 5:58 a.m.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
