Santa Clara Crash on Highway 101 near Great American Parkway
The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car accident that injured one person on Wednesday afternoon in Santa Clara.
The accident happened on southbound Highway 101, just north of Great American Parkway at around 3:09 p.m. on December 7.
Police said two vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.
Emergency crews and medical personnel rendered aid to one person who sustained a head injury following the crash. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.
Authorities issued a SigAlert blocking lanes 1, 2, and 3 following the crash. The SigAlert was canceled and the roadway cleared as of 4:18 p.m.
The vehicles were towed away from the scene.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
