San Jose Fatal Motorcycle Crash Coronado Avenue and Cottle Road
A crash killed a motorcyclist near Coronado Avenue and Cottle Road in San Jose.
According to The Mercury News and NBC Bay Area, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:11 p.m.
San Jose police said the incident happened when the motorcycle rider and an SUV collided for an unknown reason in the city.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The two crashed near the intersection of Coronado Avenue and Cottle Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital, where they died.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the car stopped and stayed at the site following the wreck.
Officers forced the area of Coronado and Cottle to shut down for a time after the incident. The cause of the San Jose crash is still under investigation.
