Woman ID’d in Fatal Fontana Traffic Accident
A 22-year-old woman identified as Julie Avila Leandro was killed in a Fontana collision Friday afternoon.
Per CHP, the accident took place on July 8th just after 4:30 p.m. at Juniper and South Highland Avenue.
Leandro was a rear passenger in a Honda Accord that was turning onto Highland from Juniper.
The Accord collided with an eastbound GMC pickup truck in the process.
Sadly, Julie was declared dead at the scene. Two other passengers in the Honda along with two passengers of the GMC suffered unspecified injuries and were hospitalized for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
