Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 170 Freeway
CHP reported a fatal pedestrian crash in North Hollywood last Tuesday night.
It was around 10:30 p.m. on June 1st when the director of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Crisis Response Team was traveling on the 170 Freeway.
He struck Carlos Gonzalez, 36, within the northbound lanes at Victory Boulevard.
The circumstances leading up to the incident remain unknown at this time.
Reports confirmed that the vehicle was owned by the city and that the driver is also a city employee.
In addition, the driver suffered undisclosed injuries.
